We took it pretty easy today in Lampang. It's a nice town with lots of great places to eat and all within reasonable walking distance or a short Tuk Tuk ride. The day largely revolved around eating but we did make it to a couple of temples in the morning.
The first temple, Wat Sri Rong Muang, was particularly interesting as it was built by Burmese craftsmen and the style was distinctly different from what we had seen to date. Walking inside the temple was like entering a genie's bottle - everything twinkled and sparkled. Really magical.

The afternoon was spent planning out the next couple of weeks in Thailand before we cross into Laos. After yesterday's climb, we anticipate a few more hills ahead of us and are unsure if we'll be able to cover as much ground in the same amount of time.
Tomorrow we head to Chiang Mai where we'll be staying at a guest house that is owned by a man who is a keen cyclist and we hope to get some more insight from him. Looking forward to seeing the much hyped Chiang Mai.
