Welcome to Nicky and Paul's blog! After 9 years in Australia, we've decided to make the big move back to Europe to be closer to family and friends. Hankering for a bit of adventure, we decided we would take the opportunity to explore some of South East Asia en route to Europe.
Our plan is to cycle through Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia over 3-4 months. While we consider ourselves to be pretty experienced commuter cyclists, this adventure is certainly a first for us, having never spent more than a few hours at a time on a bike and certainly not over consecutive days. We're looking forward to the challenge and the chance to really absorb the surroundings - sights, sounds and smells.

In planning this trip, we've found so many cycling journals written by others who have traveled through Asia too. We hope that our blog may provide some help or inspiration to anyone considering a similar journey.
